When violations are discovered, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency will take appropriate actions, including notifying the manufacturer or importer, conducting further targeted sampling, or product seizure, recall, etc.
This food safety monitoring announcement includes coumarin in specific foods (2016-2018), perchlorate in dairy products and infant formula (2020-2021), and furan, 2-methylfuran and 3-Methylfuran (2020-2021) three parts.
